This Weekend at Hope:
Faith on Film | "Wonder Woman" | John 3:16-21

Hello Hope Des Moines!

Have you noticed things are a bit crowded around Hope Des Moines recently? The past several months, we've seen growing numbers of those worshiping, as well as participating in groups, classes, and service opportunities - and for all this we give thanks! You're an incredibly faithful (and flexible!) church - and we, as a staff, are consistently raving about how awesome you are! Whether that's giving up your seat to a visitor, being willing to sit in overflow, changing your service time to meet up with someone you invite, and many other ways, you've caught the vision of being an outwardly-focused church! (Acts 2:42-47).

God has called us to grow his kingdom, and that is happening in many ways all around us! In fact, with more and more opportunities, it's sometimes hard to find time to share it all during weekend announcements. So here are a few items you may not be aware of that are happening in our community:

Did you know...
This past week, dozens of you participated in four "Mission Des Moines" events, serving our community. From cleaning up homeless camps to making care packages and sorting food donations, thanks to all of you who went on a mission "trip" for a few hours right here in our city!

Did you know...
Last weekend was our spring New Member Class, and more than 30 new members joined our Hope family here at the Des Moines campus! If you see some new people around you, be sure to welcome them!

Did you know...
During Lent, hundreds of you participated in our "Lenten Prayer Pals" project. Many of you have been praying fervently for our HopeKids, Downtown Preschool, as well as PowerLife and Ignition students. This Sunday at 12:15 pm in the Loft, prayer partners will have an opportunity to meet each other and enjoy some treats. Thanks to all of you for joining in the power of prayer!

Did you know...
Finally, this past weekend we kicked off a brand new sermon series called "Faith On Film," as we look at some of those most popular movies of the past year through the lens of our faith. This weekend we continue with a look at "Wonder Woman" and get a fresh new perspective on Jesus' power to rescue us! Bring a friend, and we'll see you Saturday at 5:00 pm or Sunday at 9:15 or 11:00 am!
