What were some of the most valuable things you learned as a kid through school? As a young elementary kid, I remember being fascinated with the multiplication chart. It took me years to understand the universal value of the laws of math. But as kids this was (and is) one of the first ways we learn about things that can be counted on and trusted.
Have you seen the kids at weekend worship these past three weeks? They have been having fun practicing and learning to find "Friendly Jesus." We have been hiding the "Friendly Jesus" doll somewhere in the Worship Center and kids been finding him and taking fun selfies with him - then at the end of the six-week "Finding Jesus" tour, if kids have all six pics they can show all six pics at the Welcome Center for a grand prize!
It has been fun - and the best thing is that kids are learning they can always count on Jesus' love and friendship. It's the best thing they will ever learn.
As we head into Spring Break, remember we will shift our clocks forward on Saturday night. Many will also be traveling. If you are traveling, please make every effort to find a local church and attend - you will be blessed to be in worship; you will be blessed to be in fellowship with other Christians, and most of all you will worship God with another body of believers.
If you are traveling with kids they can also take a selfie somewhere cool in the church you are visiting and it will count toward the six pics toward the "Friendly Jesus" grand prizes we will be giving away in a couple weeks.
Things coming up this weekend at Hope that you can count on...
