This Weekend at Hope: The Summer of Acts | Where Real Men Stand Acts 6:1-7
Good Morning Hope!

I love going outside and feeling the warmth of the sun on my face and seeing a beautiful bright blue sky. And I'm not the only one...city pools filling up with kids and families are gathering at every city park. So as a church... let's get outside and worship together!

Father's Day Outdoor Worship is this weekend, June 18 at 10:00 am at Waterworks Park in Grimes. Please note that we are combining all three of our weekend services into one service so we can worship together as one church). Our band is all set to make a joyful noise to the Lord. I am really excited to be sharing a Father's Day message of hope and empowerment called, "Where Real Men Stand."

Here is the morning rundown:
  • 6:30 am - Production and setup crews arrive and sets up (and drinks coffee)
  • 8:00 am - Band begins rehearsal, Hospitality Team arrives and sets up coffee & donuts
  • 9:00 am - Congregation begins arriving, parking, setting up chairs in prime spots
    • Bring an extra chair if you have one!
  • 10:00 am - Worship begins!
    • Supervised nursery for infants-age 3
  • 11:10 am - 1:00 pm Community time
    • Free cookout (brats, hot dogs, chips, cookies, water), inflatables for the kids
The weather team is telling us it will be a beautiful morning. I want to encourage you to hydrate well that morning. Bring your favorite water bottles for the service - we will provide water for the cookout!

Today's challenge to you is to invite people to come to worship with you this weekend. Look for people who are not part of a church, people who are far from God, and people who are searching for hope.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who contributes to the mission of the church. Your financial support in regular giving and in special donations and gifts makes it possible to share God's love in fun and creative ways that reach even more people with for Jesus.

We want to thank the following for donations to make this Father's Day a great day for all:
  • 3M - Generator
  • Frito-Lay
  • Fareway, Urbandale
  • Lantz Elite - Forklift
  • Mahon Trucking - Stage
  • Mike & Audrey Macri
  • Light This Productions
  • Hope volunteers and congregation
Reaching out in Christ's love,

Pastor Eric
