This Weekend at Hope: Here We Stand: A 10-Week Confirmation Refresher
Spread the Word| 2 Timothy 3:14-17
Good Morning Hope!
With a difficult week in the nation I thought it appropriate to strengthen, encourage, and assure you the best way I know how...
The name of the Lord is a strong fortress, the godly run to him and are safe.
Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.
The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
The words of Scripture are alive and active because they are the word of God - his truth and his promises. Contemplate these life-giving promises. Let God assure you that though Christ you, me, and everyone can overcome anything through the power of Christ.
This weekend at worship we will hear a message of how having access to the word of God changes everything for us and in us. Invite someone into the presence of God today. Make a difference with the life God has given to you.
It's good to be the church,
Pastor Eric
