This weekend at Hope:
Faith on Film | " Wonder Woman" | John 3:16-21
Dear Hope,
Spring continues to inch forward. The sound of song birds, hints of green grass, and trees budding are all good signs that the season is changing.
With seasons changing and today's forecast, we at Hope take everyone's safety important. You will notice on all classroom doors that both severe weather and tornado plans have been posted. Take a moment when you are in the building to familiarize yourself and your children with those. Hope subscribes to a weather alert service and plans accordingly when storms are in the area.
I have to say there is an incredible wave of the Holy Spirit moving at Hope Waukee these days. Five PowerLife students were baptized two weeks ago with four students reaffirming their baptism that same night. We will welcome new members this weekend, and we have 30 couples who are pouring into their marriages through The Marriage Course. Prayer teams are lifting up the needs within our faith community, and both Men's and Women's Ministries are connecting, growing and serving together.
Part of engaging in Christian community is getting to know one another. A first step in this is to participate in our Hope Waukee Church Directory. Photo sessions begin Tuesday, April 24 and will run for three weeks. To reserve a 20-minute photo session, please use this link. For participating, you will receive a free 8x10 and a free directory of our church family.
Well, the phones are ringing off the hook this morning for the Zach Williams concert tonight. We are excited to host this concert and are praying for God to bring healing, hope, joy and restoration to all those in attendance.
Stay safe the next few days, and I look forward to seeing you this weekend at worship.

Bible 101: The Gospel of Mark
Sundays, April 22 - May 6, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Though it is the shortest Gospel, Mark's vivid style and breathtaking pace tells a story that is far from simple. We will place the narrative of Mark into the larger historical, cultural, social and political context and explore the theological insights into Jesus, the Messiah who fulfills the story of Israel.
