This Weekend at Hope:
Genesis: A Binge-Worthy Bible Series | Mad Men | Genesis 37:3-11
Good Morning, Hope!
As the snow continues to fall around the state this morning, I continue to give God thanks for all of you. A shout out to all the volunteers who helped make the Souper Bowl Food Drive a wonderful success this year. And thanks to all of you who donated food or gave monetary support for our drive this year, too!
As a response to the ongoing food insecurities within our community you will see collection boxes on both the east and west hallways in a couple of weeks. These collection boxes will be used to collect donated food items throughout the year. Volunteers will empty out these boxes regularly and items donated will help restock area food pantry shelves throughout the year. To get involved or to learn more, feel free to email Chad Borgestad, Campus Minister.
We are just one week away from the Daddy Daughter Dance. To get details or purchase tickets for this special night, click here.
Also, starting this Saturday morning (Feb. 10) at 9:00 am we'll have First Communion Class for children in grades 1-5. This two-session course is interactive and will share in the history of communion and prepare students for their first communion on March 29 during our Maundy Thursday service. To have your child/ren and an adult participate follow this link.
Finally, this coming Wednesday, Feb. 14 will be the start of Lent with our Ash Wednesday service starting at 5:30 pm. This will be a 60-minute service with communion and distribution of ashes. Nursery care will be available for children ages 0-3. Following the service, join your Hope family for a Valentine's dinner with soup and rolls.
Be safe, stay healthy, and give Jesus your best!
Pastor Pat
P.S. If you have a young lady in your home, make sure she doesn't miss the Girl Talk Seminar: Wisdom & Worth Seminar (for grades 8-12) on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 9:00 am. And for you moms or women of influence, at the same time is a Wise Women: Wholehearted Living workshop to help invest your gifts, talents, and build meaningful relationships where you can influence others positively. Spread the word about these exciting and God-breathed topics around a time when there is much conversation about the roles, experiences and voices of women in our world.

Sitting with God
Monday, Feb. 12, 6:30-8:00 pm
Do you ever feel confused about how to pray or spend your time with God? Sitting With God will help you navigate that time and give you practical tools to grow and enrich your time with God. We will talk about the why behind prayer as well as the how (which includes the when and the where). We will eventually step into the what to do next: praying for others, listening for others, getting creative with God and seeking healing for the broken.
