There are only 47 days until camp, but before then we have one of our biggest fundraisers, and you won't want to miss it. Horizon's Annual Golf Outing and Banquet is coming up on June 11, so get your clubs out of storage! There will be a live band at the banquet and lots of raffles to win awesome prizes!
June is our month of orientations and interviews for new campers and volunteers, it is also the month of the highly anticipated acceptance packets. Once again we are extremely short male volunteers for our week of camp. Not having a volunteer for a camper delays the acceptance process and causes us to put campers onto our wait list. If you can volunteer please
apply today. You won't regret the impact you will have by sharing this magical week with one of our campers.

Horizon Highlight: Terry Smith
Terry Smith got involved with Horizon through MDA camp. She went to the MDA telethon with some friends and then attended their camp for eight years before Horizon was started. She has attended Horizon Camp for the past 24 years and is looking forward to the "Super 25". Terry loves making new friends every year and hopes to see many of her old friends back at camp this year. "I consider Horizon as an extended family. When I walk into camp I feel like I'm walking into a family reunion."

Over the years, Terry has played an active role within the organization and at camp. In the past she has been on the Camp Committee and the Board. At camp, she has been a Team Leader and on the support team. She is currently on the Recruitment Committee and does presentations at high schools such as Lincoln Park.
Terry is married to her husband, Tom, and has four children, Tommy, Patty, Danny, and Brian. Her family loves to go camping and fishing together.
25th Anniversary Celebration

Bake Your Cape Off Bake Sale Fundraiser
Nataly Reyes is hosting The 1st Annual Association of Horizon Bake Sale. It will be on Friday June 17th @ 1:30 pm to 4:30pm and Saturday June 18th @ 12:00pm to 4:00pm. We will be selling baked goods and we also have a raffles and activities planned. We are raffling baskets! And we will also be featuring the pie face game and face painting. So come to 5410 W. 34th St., Cicero, IL 60804 and help us raise money for summer camp.
Homebrew Makers Get Ready
