Northtown Celebrates 90 Years

Did you know North Kansas City High School is turning 90? In 1924, a $190,000 bond was supported by the community to build the school that was constructed in 1925 at 23rd Avenue and Gentry Street. Northtown opened for students in early 1926, a few months later than anticipated, due to construction delays. Join us this year as we celebrate the rich history of our school. If a school can be a landmark, Northtown is.
