Dear Distributor,
Our Teaching Verbal Behavior workshops give parents and professionals detailed, practical, and effective skills to help unlock language in children with autism and other developmental disorders. We're particularly excited this year because we've updated all of our our workshops with some very new and highly innovative procedures. Because our 2011-2012 program season is just around the corner, now is the time to schedule a workshop in your community.
To help ensure that those affected by the current economy can still learn how to teach their children, we've lowered the hosting fees for our programs. We've also opened all workshops that don't include hands-on training to an unlimited number of participants -- because the greater the participation, the lower the cost for each participant.
For detailed information about our workshops, please visit our website. Following are some highlights of the new topics and techniques:
- How to teach reciprocal conversation to the advanced learner (both learner-initiated and therapist-initiated functional conversations around motivating topics)
- How to teach socially related mands for information
- Step-by-step instructions for establishing instructional control in the NET across all learner levels
- Strategies to create reinforcers
- How to expand and increase the number of valued/reinforcing items across all learner levels in the NET
- New strategies to teach what many call "severely impaired" children
Available workshops include: - Introduction to Verbal Behaviors (unlimited participants)
- Teaching in the Natural Environment (NET) (unlimited)
- NET Hands-on (30 participants)
- Intensive Teaching Environment (ITT) (unlimited)
