Abel Guillén for Assembly-18th District
A real progressive for a progressive district.
Greetings!
August is getting hot in the Bay Area and our campaign is getting hotter each day. I am proud to announce the recent endorsements of Reverend Dr. Harold R. Mayberry of Oakland First African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Northern California District Council of Laborers Local 304.

Reverend Dr. Harold R. Mayberry of FAME
Community and government working together
I am honored to have the support of Pastor Mayberry from FAME here in Oakland.
My priority has always been first and foremost to serve our community by protecting our safety net for our youth, disabled and elderly. I will continue to make sure that we prioritize education and workforce development opportunities. I will ensure that we foster innovation, and our community thrives, but our campaign cannot do this alone.
That's why I am proud to have the endorsement of Pastor Mayberry and work with him and his congregation to serve our community.
Major Endorsement from Laborers
Laborers 110% behind Abel
Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 304, which represents over 3,400 workers in Alameda County, has endorsed Abel Guillen for Assembly.
"After taking a close look at the candidates in this race, it was clear that Abel Guillen not only shares our goals and values, but has a track record for results to back it up," said Fernando Estrada, Local 304's business manager.
"Abel is a principled leader that brings real experience and a track record of delivering tangible results to the table. We have seen what he has accomplished as a Community College Trustee, and are confident he has what it takes to represent this district for years to come. We are 110% behind Abel."
LIUNA Local 304 now joins the California Labor Federation, IBEW Local 595, Teamsters Joint Council 7, UNITE HERE, International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Northern California Joint Council, SEIU California, the California Nurses Association, the California Teachers Association, AFSCME District Council 57, and the California Federation of Teachers in support of our campaign for Assembly.
