The auditors dropped by for a visit
They left happy
As you know by now, NACM Business Credit Services is committed to financial stability and fiscal integrity. The transparency that comes with this commitment means we get to welcome Moss-Adams CPAs every year to give us an accounting once-over so we can assure our members, customers and partners that all is well.
The firm just completed its annual audit and pronounced us healthy and fit to serve. We had a fourth straight year of profitability. We also remain debt-free and, although every politician suggests it will never happen, we continue to put away some money for the next rainy day.
We owe this success to you for being part of and using our association, and to our great staff who do the necessary work to keep this train on the tracks. Together, it's a great relationship that continues to be strong after 117 years. Thanks for your part in our combined success.
As you read on, there are a couple of things I ask you to note. First, we have exciting news about a special speaker for the Western Region Credit Conference. Second, our annual golf tournament is coming up September 9 and you will want to be there - even if you're a duffer! Finally, our Business Credit Principles online is coming up soon and you (or your associates) will want to get registered. And...don't forget to register for the Western Region Credit Conference!
Thanks again for being part of NACM Business Credit Services. Here's to a great summer.
Cheers,

Changes in NACM BCS' Education
We've heard you
Responding to member feedback, t
hree years ago we
migrated
all of our professional
education
online. This was done is response to a changing marketplace,
and to ensure service for
our Alaska and Hawaii members.
Since 2013, we have reached many more of our members with higher quality, college-level instruction. More people are working towards professional certifications and the response has been positive. Now, it's time to adjust our offerings again because of changing member demand.
We will continue to offer
Business Credit Principles online. It is a great starting point for people new to the profession and remains a popular course.
Later this year,
w
e will begin referring members interested in Basic Financial Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, and Business Law to
our
NACM National
programs
.
Participation in
these
online
classes is difficult for most
, and enrollment
has dropped off
making
the courses a money-losing proposition for our association. National's offerings are online but configured
for a broader audience, making them easier t
o complete for those pursuing certifications.
After thoughtful consideration, the Board and staff leadership concluded this was the right
change to make. We will redeploy the
resources
formerly
used
for
these classes to bring you
fresh professional development offerings that meet your emerging needs
.
If you have any questions about our Education Program, please contact
Ricole Isbey-Johnson
