HOT-HOT-HOT!

Did you know that the seeds are NOT the hottest part of a pepper? Where the seed is attached to the white membrane inside the pepper is actually the hottest part of the chile pepper. And did you know that chile peppers contain more vitamin C than any other vegetable?

This Saturday come celebrate the fiery peppers of fall! Our vendors are offering some spicy delicacies including salsa verde and chile quiche and our farmers have unique varieties of hot and other (milder) heirloom peppers like the sweet and delicious Jimmy Nardello pepper. You'll even find gorgeous hot pepper plants!

HOT PEPPER EATING CONTEST
The highlight of the day is our infamous 10 Deadly Hot Peppers Hot Pepper Eating Contest at 11am. Come cheer on your favorite fire eater and watch as these men and women with stomachs of steel down the hottest peppers known to man! They start with the benign little Cherry Bomb (at 5,000 scoville heat units) and work their way up to the infamous Moruga Scorpion weighing in at a staggering 2 million SHUs! Should there be a tie, the dastardly Carolina Reaper will rear its ugly head.
