We hope that you’re enjoying the summer season and doing well.
The August issue of the Hot SHEET newsletter (CLICK HERE) reminds us that September – Prostate Cancer Awareness Month - is right around the corner! If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to register for the 13th Annual SEA Blue Chicago Prostate Cancer Walk & Run in Lincoln Park on Sunday, September 10. If you’re unable to attend the event in person, please consider fundraising as a “Virtual Mover” or donating to the event. Funds raised help Us TOO provide educational resources and support services to the prostate cancer community at no charge. For more information, visit www.seablueprostatewalk.org.
We’re very excited to be launching The Us TOO Prostate Cancer Clinical Trial Finder! Another free service, it simplifies the process of identifying clinical trials by matching a patient’s profile with relevant clinical trials. Patient information can be entered online or on the phone by calling a toll-free number to talk with clinical trial navigators who speak English or Spanish! CLICK HERE to visit the Us TOO clinical trial web page, which includes more information and a link to The Us TOO Prostate Cancer Clinical Trial Finder.
We encourage you to take action to show your support for urologic research sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD). The American Urological Association (AUA) has made it very easy to contact your Senators today and request a YES vote on Senator Richard Durbin’s (D-IL) amendment to S. 1519, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2018. These programs affect the health and survival of countless patients and are critical to advancing our understanding of a variety of health issues and contributing to medical breakthroughs. Simply CLICK HERE to enter your contact information, which will identify your Senators to receive a pre-written email that you can send to show your support for this initiative.
The 3rd Annual SEA Blue Ribbon Walk in Rochester, NY, will take place on Saturday, August 19.
