Take the Train to the Burning of Zozobra

Say good-bye to summer on Friday, September 1, 2017 at New Mexico's hottest party, the 93rd Burning of Zozobra at Fort Marcy Park in Santa Fe! Since 1924, this iconic event has been New Mexico's favorite way to shake off gloom and fire up fun. This year, the Decades Project showcases Zozobra as a cool 1950s Daddy-O! Gates open at 3 p.m., pre-show entertainment begins at 7 p.m., and the official Zozobra show starts at 9:30 p.m.

The New Mexico Rail Runner Express will adjust the train schedule to allow people to attend the event and return home afterward. Passengers who purchase their Zozobra tickets online in advance will have the option to add on a Rail Runner ticket at the same time, adding an extra level of convenience for those traveling from south of Santa Fe. Free shuttles will take people between the South Capitol Rail Runner Station and the event.
