Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Plea for help!
GPBA is long-time supporter of Project
LIFT for homeless/at-risk children living in city shelters.
It's founder Diana Byer is making a plea to our neighbors for the following:
- Donations for college scholarship for Project LIFT graduate. She has over $10,000 in scholarships, but is desperately trying to raise another $12,000 to pay for her first year at university this fall.
According to Byer, "This young woman is a straight A student and has been in LIFT since she was 5 years old. She is an incredibly smart, compassionate and generous leader at the school and is one of the hardest workers I have taught in my 39 years of teaching."
