Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
Plea for help!

GPBA is long-time supporter of Project  LIFT for homeless/at-risk children living in city shelters.

It's founder Diana Byer is making a plea to our neighbors for the following:

  1. Donations for college scholarship for Project LIFT graduate.  She has over $10,000 in scholarships, but is desperately trying to raise another $12,000 to pay for her first year at university this fall.

According to Byer, "This young woman is a straight A student and has been in LIFT since she was 5 years old. She is an incredibly smart, compassionate and generous leader at the school and is one of the hardest workers I have taught in my 39 years of teaching."

    Donations 100% tax-deductible:
Checks payable to Gramercy Park Block Association with "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" in memo. Mail/Drop off: Arlene Harrison, 34 Gramercy Park East, NY, NY 10003

  2. Clothing for 12 year old boy and girl.Approximate sizes: girl is adult small, boy is boy's size 12

"Two other LIFT children (siblings, both aged 12) recently left Seneca House Shelter and are attending our summer camp program. I provide lunch for them each day, but the brother and sister each have only one outfit to wear."

    Drop off:
