Session Description
The digital skills gap is hardly news to American workers. Of the more than 200 million adults in the US digital workforce, only one in ten consider themselves very proficient with the digital tools they use every day. As companies move quickly to adopt new cloud-based platforms, such as Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps, and Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as new types of tools for marketing, analytics, communications, and more, employees and managers are hard-pressed to fit digital skills training into jam-packed schedules and tight budgets.

Meanwhile, a recent study by Deloitte found that the rapid pace of technological change in the workplace is leading to a skills half-life of just 2.5 years. Even the most adept employee can quickly fall behind - and workers, businesses, and the entire economy are paying the price.

Every year, the digital skills gap drives a loss of nearly $1 trillion for the US economy. For a firm with 1,000 employees, this translates to a $10 million loss each year on a compensation basis alone.

But we need not stand idly by as our organizations bleed productivity. By laying out the 8 core competencies of digital skills, this webinar provides an action plan for addressing the digital skills gap in your team.
