Sligo’s Prayer Ministry and WGTS
have prayer and summer fun!

Come out and volunteer for the WGTS ice-cream tour. The Ice-cream tour is where we pick a location and socialize with the community through giving out ice-cream, free stuff, playing games, and more. Three of the these tours have a concert as well! 

Prayer volunteers will be roaming, making connections, and praying with individuals who desire it. Here are tiger ice-cream social dates and event below:

Friday June 22nd – Mandisa/ Tysons Corner 

Friday June 29th – Stars Go Dim/ Olney, MD (Bethel Church) 

Friday July 13th – Gaithersburg

Friday July 20th – Vote for your city, (Chesapeake Beach)*

Friday July 27th – Sidewalk Prophets/ Tysons Corner

VOLUNTEER TRAINING IS THIS SUNDAY @ 11AM at the Church.
Every year at our VBS we feed 150 volunteers and 250 children. 

Costco packs of shredded cheese, boxes of macaroni pasta, large jars of spaghetti sauce, packages of Costco assorted cookies, large tubs of sour cream, garlic bread, large watermelons, honeydew, cantaloupe, seedless grapes, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, strawberries, vanilla wafer cookies, Skittles, multi-colored goldfish crackers, avocados, animal crackers, graham crackers, tomatoes, cilantro, spring onions, and 16.9 fl.oz. water bottles. 

New or used beach towels, regular towels, stuffed animals (particularly sea life), and toy cars are also welcome. 

Please drop off these much needed items (labeled Sligo VBS) by July 8th in the kitchen.

A Bible Study for Kids Every Sabbath

There is now a Bible Study each Sabbath for kids ages 7-10. It is led by Pastor Gerry Lopez from 1-1:45pm in the Sligo Church Discipleship Room. Don't forget your bible!

After school program for high school students. 

If you are a high school student or a busy parent of a high school student, a new after-school program called M.I.N.D.S. will offer some exciting new opportunities.

What:  M.I.N.D.S. seeks to provide a safe, structured and supervised after-school program that supports students both academically and through mentorship. Food provided!
When:  Started Wednesday, March 7th, and every Wednesday for 12 weeks, from 6 pm to 7:00 pm.
Where:  Sligo Youth Room
