Hello

Be sure to catch moon rise this weekend - you know, that special time of day when the sun sets in the west and the moon rises in the east. Get yourself out into a place with wide, open spaces such at a mountain top or at the beach.  Because this full moon is closer to the earth than usual, it will appear larger and brighter - a sight to behold.

And, as you witness the celestial event, I want you to think about the supporting planetary lineup that is developing in the sky. Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn are slowly moving into a formation known as a 'Grand Water Trine'. Accept the invitation of this perigee Super Moon, and make a commitment for the month ahead.

Think of how water forms waves and moves in slow ripples; your application of this concept is how you can become an energy master this summer. It is the 3 Wise Mentors - Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn who now teach us how to make change and bring form to our wishes; how to do the work necessary for growth.

I have come to regard the combination of Jupiter and Neptune as 'a love of Spirit', or 'spiritual growth, and it's been my pleasure to speak with so many of you who express the energies of these two planets in such a positive way.

Now, as we move through the still point of Summer Solstice, pass through the dynamic cardinal or action starting thrust of the Capricorn full moon, and into the month of July, know that your power lies in your ability to move energy, to flow with Neptune and Jupiter. And, the gift comes from Saturn, the planet of diligence, effort, and hard work.

How to do Inner Work

Saturn is the planet of form and function

Everybody talks about 'doing your work', yet few people define what that means or how explain how to do it. And, like the fairytale in which the emperor has no clothing, but everybody is afraid to speak the truth- you often hear language around 'inner work' such as 'I need to work on that.'

We all need to work on something, that's why we're here.

The tricky part is how to get out of your head - thinking about what you need to 'do', and figuring out how to actually 'do' it; kind of like that old saying 'everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die'.

To do inner work, you have to DO Saturn.  And Saturn can be fierce. As the Greek titan Chronos, he castrated his father Ouranos, to become king of the gods. But, it is Saturn who teaches us to become queens and kings of our worlds.

Here are my 5 steps to mastering your domain:

1) Name it, and claim it - Saturn likes definition, so sit yourself down and figure it out. Get your goals in writing and post them where you see them daily. Utilize imagery to get the attention and cooperation of your powerful subconscious mind.

2) Time is on your side - As old Father Time, Saturn carries a tool to help him harvest the riches of the earth- a scythe. The fruits cannot be harvested until they are ripe; so it is with your manifestation project. Sometimes you get overnight results, but just as often, you have to plan and strategize. Saturn loves discipline and applied effort over time.

3) Accept that hopelessness may be a part of your journey - Part of Saturn's mythological journey was to be thrown into isolation and forgotten. This story is a symbolic message referring to the chains of isolation that we suffer through guilt, remorse, or humiliation. Saturn's darkest side is depression.  Don't give up! Evaluate carefully, and if needed . . . .

4) Ask for guidance -  Saturn works through mentorship, and you may have to just admit that somebody else is an expert at something you know little about.

5) Listen to your Inner Voice -  You now the one, that nagging voice that never really lets go, telling you to take the next step that moves you out of isolation and into the harvest of your richest field. Your deepest inner guidance is never wrong, and it's your navigational force through life.

This is how you get it done. Yes, it's hard work, but guess what - it feels good.
