Hurricane Harvey, now Tropical Storm Harvey, has affected more than 100 congregations in the Houston metro area and surrounding counties, and the Church Extension Fund is ready to assist. Earlier this week, Stephen Block, CEF Executive Director, contacted Rev. Jon Braunersreuther, the Texas District Mission and Ministry Facilitator for Area “D” (Houston and the Golden Triangle).

Texas District CEF will provide loan assistance to congregations affected by Harvey. Specifically, CEF will offer:
  • Loans for emergency repairs.
  • “Bridge” loans to fund immediate repairs before proceeds from insurance claims are received.
  • We will also make loans to help congregations experiencing interrupted cash flow because of canceled worship services, closed schools, and childcare ministries.

Right now, as a CEF investor, you are involved in providing the needed financial support. Your invested dollars in the CEF ministry will provide loan funding to help these congregations during this time of recovery.
The mission of the Texas District Church Extension Fund is to extend God’s Kingdom by boldly and responsibly assisting congregations to acquire land and buildings and by linking investors with congregations.
The information available through Extension Extra is neither an offer to sell nor a request to buy any investments. This offer is made only in the  Offering Circular  which is available by contacting TexasCEF at 1-888-951-1233 or by written request to Texas CEF, 7900 East Highway 290, Austin, Texas 78724 or at TexasCEF's website:  www.TexasCEF.org
