It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating the holidays and planning for the new year, and now here we are more than three months into 2013!
Yet, despite how quickly time has passed, I'm excited about what the year has brought thus far: we've welcomed several new businesses, were visited by two elected officials, and had a fabulous kick-off event for a newly formed networking group - just to name a few!
As the year progresses, we will continue to embrace new opportunities to support YOU and YOUR business needs.
Let's continue working together to promote entrepreneurship and economic growth throughout the Baltimore-Washington Corridor - and beyond!

Mayor Craig A. Moe and Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards Visit Howard Corporate Centre
We recently welcomed two distinguished elected officials to Howard Corporate Centre.
On February 26, The Honorable Craig A. Moe, Mayor of the City of Laurel, Maryland, visited Howard Corporate Centre, and on March 26, The Honorable Donna F. Edwards, Member of Congress representing Maryland's 4th District, stopped by as part of her Small Business Tour. On both occasions, LaTaunya Howard provided a tour of the center and discussed the array of solutions we offer to support business needs. Both Mayor Moe and Congresswoman Edwards were
also introduced to other business owners who use our services, which led to engaging discussions about each business' unique solutions and offerings.
We are appreciative to Mayor Moe and Congresswoman Edwards for their time and interest, and look forward to continuing to support businesses within the City of Laurel and throughout the Baltimore-Washington Corridor.

Budgeting Basics
Workshop A Success!
LaTaunya Howard was the featured speaker for the "Budgeting Basics for Small Businesses" workshop sponsored by the Prince George's County Supplier Development and Diversity Division (SDDD) on January 30. More than 40 entrepreneurs attended the interactive course designed to teach business owners the basic concepts and principles of budgeting and how they can be applied to their day-to-day operations. LaTaunya previously facilitated the workshop in 2011, and is honored to have been asked to partner with SDDD again to support small business owners throughout the County.

Howard Corporate Centre Supports The BWCC Foundation's Annual Gala
Howard Corporate Centre was a supporter of the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber Foundation's 56th Annual Gala Fundraiser for Scholarships held on February 21. We donated a day of meeting room usage for the gala's silent auction, whose proceeds will be dedicated to scholarships for corridor area high school seniors pursuing a higher education or other educational programs. We congratulate the lucky bidder and the BWCC Foundation for an amazing event!

NEXT LEVEL NETWORKING
Howard Corporate Centre is the proud sponsor of Next Level Networking, a new group co-founded by LaTaunya Howard and Jerrie Taylor, which emphasizes the importance of being guided by spiritual principles, maintaining work-life balance, and using our talents to help others and our communities as measures of professional and entrepreneurial success. The group had its official kick-off event on March 20 and received rave reviews from those who attended. We are proud to be 90 members strong (and growing) and will continue striving to take ourselves and those around us to the Next Level!
