IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Requesting Space in the Union Complex
Student organizations may begin requesting space in the Union Complex (TCC, Union, and Hub) for regularly scheduled meetings during the spring semester on December 1st.  
No reservations for regularly scheduled meetings will be accepted prior to that date. Please note that requests are not guaranteed, and room assignments are made based on all reservations. You will receive a confirmation of your space no later than the week prior to the start of the spring semester.  In the meantime, please direct all questions to Event Services.
*Note: This is ONLY for rooms in the Union Complex. All other buildings and outside space on campus are currently open for requests for spring semester. 
Final Student Leadership Workshop of the Semester:  
Allies Training 
Don't miss the Student Leadership Workshop on November 19th from 3pm-5pm. Guest speakers Garrett Cimino and William Takewell will be leading an allies training. Details in flyer below. Sign-up here

The Southern Miss Activities Council and the Office for Multicultural Services is excited to bring the Southern Miss Community its first annual Multicultural Awareness Week! This week will consist of a variety of programming including a panel and speaker addressing stereotyping and assumptions, a comedian, an opportunity to learn how to do dances from around the world, and much, much more! This week will also be open to all faculty, staff, and students who are working with multicultural or diversity initiatives in some way.

On Friday, Nov. 21, an "Around the World" fair will be hosted in the Thad Cochran Center Atrium allowing groups on campus as well as campus departments the opportunity to showcase cultures from around the world and/or initiatives that their groups/office are committed to in helping promote multiculturalism. This is a great opportunity to get your department or group's message out to students!

Color Me Shamrock 5K
Kappa Delta Sorority will be hosting their annual Color Me Shamrock 5K on November 15, 2014, and would like you to be a part of it in efforts to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America!
The race will be he
ld in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg. Registration will begin at 9am and the race will start at 10am. All runners may register at the website here or sign up through a Kappa Delta member. We ask that all runners and supporters dress in green for the race and help us prevent child abuse locally and nationally!
Don't Miss TEAAM USM's Interactive Workshop 
TEAAM (Together Enhancing Autism Awareness in Mississippi) will be hosting an Interactive Workshop on November 11th in TCC room 210 from 7pm - 8:30pm.
Learn how to better communicate with individuals on the Autism spectrum. Experts will be there to inform students about common misunderstandings and how to avoid them. 
Luckyday Show 4 Hope
Luckyday will be hosting a movie night, Show 4 Hope, November 14th at 7:00pm in the Luckyday Multipurpose Room. Admission to this event will be donated items such as canned goods, clothing, and hygiene products. All proceeds will be donated to Hope House, which is an organization for homeless population in Hattiesburg. The Luckyday Multipurpose Room is located between Luckyday and Vann Hall behind Frank Day's statue.
There will all be free food! We hope to see you there!

SASW Present the Diversity Dash, Nov. 22
NRHH will be hosting a CAREoke Night, November 18th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in R.C.'s Lounge. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Aspire Center, which is an afterschool program for underprivileged children who are in the DHS system. Please come out to this event and show your support!
Your Organization Can Be in a Parade! 
Planning has begun for the annual Holiday Parade in downtown Hattiesburg. The parade will be on Saturday, December 6th at 1pm. USM student organizations have been invited to participate if they would like, either with a float or as a walking group.
The registration is online now and can be found here.

SGA Judicial Board Updates

Ticketing 
* Students get one warning per academic year (e.g. if a student parks in faculty and staff, they will first get a warning during their first offense but on the second offense, he or she will get a monetary ticket)  
* All reserved areas-> AUTOMATIC TICKET (e.g. handicap, special parking, mandatory tow zones, fire zones, tow away zones, service zones, etc.)

Meter Parking  
* The meters only take quarters. One quarter equates to 15 minutes (all meters). 
* Wilber Stout Hall (Meter Parking)-> These meters will only allow you to park for 2 hours. 
* Thad Cochran Center (Meters) -> 30 minutes 
* Southern Hall (Meters) -> 2 hours 
* Clyde Kennard Building (Meters) -> 2 hours 
* Owings McQuigge (Meters) -> 30 minutes 
* NOTE: Even if you put more money (quarters) in the meter, you will not get extra time. Students will only get the allotted time of the meter.
