Waterford/Wind Lake Area CROP Hunger Walk
October 2, 2016

Area churches will gather together on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church and at 1 PM the Waterford/Wind Lake CROP Hunger Walk of 1, 3, or 5 miles will be held to show our love and active concern for neighbors in need near and far. The participants will be raising awareness and funds to change the world in real and measurable ways. CROP Hunger Walks play a role in the U.S., helping communities ravaged by floods and tornadoes to recover. Church World Services receives the CROP Hunger Walk funds to help families and communities to rebuild homes, food supplies and livelihoods. CWS has worked for seven decades with one goal: building a world where there is enough for all. We affirm the power of individuals and communities to take ownership of their future. We meet them right where they are, helping them create solutions they can maintain - and build on. That means a refugee family who is able to start a new life. Or someone rebuilding after disaster finds safety with dignity. It's important to note that 25 percent of what we raise will help the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, Norway Helping Hands Food Pantry, and the Caldwell Food Pantry in their important work here in the Waterford/Wind Lake area. You can register online today and begin gathering sponsors at www.crophungerwalk.org. For additional information or to volunteer, please contact Geri Vander Leest at 262.895.6365. Thank you.

Local Businesses Invited to Submit their Information on the County's New Website

Racine - Are you a business located in Racine County?  If so, we would like to help showcase your business on the new Racine County website!

Racine County recently launched its new website and one of the more attractive features is the Business Directory.  In today's competitive business environment, it is critical to take advantage of every opportunity to promote your business.  To encourage the community to shop and buy local, the Business Directory is a way for Racine County to contribute to building a strong local business environment.

With the new Business Directory, businesses can submit their information directly to Racine County's website and can include key information including their address, phone numbers, website URL, operating hours, and a picture. There is no charge to be listed in the Directory and it just takes a minute or two.
