On Monday, April 10, staff at the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center unveiled new canvas prints in the Mandala Lounge during the JGMC & OASIS Open House event. The open house event is the first of many events taking place this week in the building. Read more>>

On Saturday, April 8, the Innocents Society and the Black Masque Chapter of Mortar Board recognized new members, outgoing members and undergraduate scholarship recipients at the Champions Club before planting the ceremonial ivy on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus as part of the annual Ivy Day celebration. On Tuesday, March 28, Tyler Riewer, Brand Content Lead at charity:water, spoke to Nebraska students and campus community members about the influence that activities outside classroom played in his professional experiences. Riewer shared three factors that put him on a path to success and helped him get a job doing what that he loves. The newly remodeled Georgian Suite offers a capacity of 125, expanding the Nebraska Unions room offerings on City Campus. While the aesthetics are notable, additional improvements included updated heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and technology. The suite now offers a computer, drop-down screens, projectors and a camera for web conferences. Read more>>

Dr. Deena Curtis started the workshop by asking each table of participants to work together to wrap a participant's elbow in five minutes. While instructions were available, all of the supplies were not provided. Curtis' activity demonstrated the need to use campus resources to succeed. Over the past four days, members of Nebraska fraternities and sororities have competed for the bragging rights to winning Greek Weekend.The competition which included a banner competition, coin drive, attendance at the Nebraska baseball game, participation in the Big Event, a trivia competition, an event with international students and the lip sync battle.  Read more>>
