More than 400 students, faculty and staff members gathered in the Nebraska Union on Feb. 4 to watch twelve student groups compete in the Intercultural Spotlight Competition. The evening highlighted unity and cultural appreciation through entertaining performances. View photo gallery>>

On Feb. 21, the Center for Civic Engagement, ASUN and the College of Arts and Sciences will host a Night of Listening, an evening for students to share their political hopes and visions with public officials and one another. Learn about the event to encourage students to attend.  Read more>>

Kaleb Briscoe, a first-year doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Higher Education program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will receive the 2017 Commission for Student Involvement – Outstanding Service to the Commission Award from the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). Read more>>

On Thurs., Feb. 2, Campus NightLife hosted Union Take Over on the second floor of the Nebraska Union. An estimated 450 students enjoyed laser tag, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf, cupcake and tile decorating, a photo booth, and games of Family Feud led by The Daily Nebraskan.    Read more>>

Graduate students Corbin Ross and Taylor Sidore were elected to serve on the NIRSA national leadership team. Ross will serve as the National Student Leader while Sidore serves as the Region V Regional Student Leader. Read more>>

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is offering a free Drop-in Support Group for students who have concerns with which they need support. The group meets Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. in University Health Center, Room 213. It has no set agenda, rather discussion centers around participants' current concerns. All topics are welcome. Read more>>

The Parents' Recognition Awards, presented during a Feb. 3 ceremony in the Nebraska Union, are earned through nominations made from parents of Nebraska students. Presented annually, the honors provide positive feedback to faculty and staff about their work with students. Read more>>
