Jon Husted Endorsed by 35 County Republican Party Leaders
COLUMBUS– The Husted for Governor campaign today announced 35 county Republican Party chairs and vice chairs have endorsed Jon Husted in the 2018 Gubernatorial Election.

“We continue to see a groundswell of grassroots support for Jon Husted that is unmatched by any candidate on either side of the aisle,” said Joshua Eck, spokesman for Husted for Ohio. “These are the foremost campaign organizers from around the state who helped Donald Trump win Ohio by 8-points and become President, who are now all prepared to work hard to make sure Jon Husted is Ohio’s next Governor.”
County party chairs and vice chairs are selected for those leadership posts by the County Republican Central or Executive Committee members. The makeup of central and executive committees is decided by voters during a Republican Primary Election.

The party executives endorsing the Husted for Governor campaign today do so in their personal capacity and their endorsement does not represent support from their full county parties at this time. The Williams County Republican Party became the first, and to date, only, county political party to have endorsed in the 2018 Gubernatorial Election when they announced their endorsement of Jon Husted on May 8, 2017.

Husted for Governor has also received the endorsement of Ohioans for Concealed Carry, making him the first candidate to be endorsed by a statewide organization in the 2018 Gubernatorial Election.

Jon Husted has traveled extensively throughout Ohio since announcing his campaign for Governor, holding meet and greet events and meeting with local media outlets along the way. He continues to gain support at a rate faster than all other gubernatorial candidates combined.
