A little bit of planning will make for a smooth
dismissal!   

@Tell your child about playdates the night before.
@Send a note to the teacher. So there's no need to call the office.
@Work out a plan with a neighbor or friend to pick up your child if you are running late. Please understand that students cannot be left in the office after 3:05pm.

A NOTE FROM MRS. FITZGERALD
Memorial Day- Just a reminder that school will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017 in honor of Memorial Day. We wish you all a joyful weekend with family and friends.

Spring Concert - Our Spring Concert for families will be on Wednesday, May 31st at 9:00 am in the Hutchinson School gym. It will include our 4th & 5th grade band, chorus and orchestra. Families may arrive either through the greeter station or the Third Avenue door starting at 8:45 am. Students have been working really hard and you are definitely in for a treat. We are looking forward to seeing you all then! Please note that our K-3 students will be in attendance for the "dress rehearsal" on Tuesday.

Next Delayed Start- Our next delayed start is soon approaching. This is also the last one for the year. The next delayed start will be on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Doors will open for student arrival at 10:15 am.

HUTCHINSON FAMILY BBQ! 

Where: Hutchinson Field

When: 6-8 pm, June 2nd

What: DJ! Plenty of food: Dads club pulled pork! burgers, chicken, sausages, hot dogs, veggie burgers, sides, drinks! 

Cost: $30 per family pre-pay, $40 at the door. (Teachers' families: FREE! But please RSVP for wrist bands)

RSVP: By May 30th please -- Here is the form to return in your child's folder. Please make checks out to "Hutchinson PTA" and mark the envelope "Hutchinson BBQ." Thank you! 

Bring: Blankets, chairs, balls, picnic gear. We also request volunteers bring a DESSERT (Grades K-2) or a SIDE DISH (Grades 3-5). Thank you!

Hutchinson Student Wins 2nd in Chess Tourney 
 
Congratulations to Luis-Joshua Casenas  4S, who won 2nd place at the 25th Annual New York State Chess Open, held in Lake George, NY, on May 20-21.

Help a Child, Change a Life   

Pelham Civic Association's Help a Child, Change a Life Program provides academic and social support to Pelham students from economically challenged households. They work confidentially with district administrators, principals, guidance counselors and teachers across all schools to provide students across all grades access to tutoring, home computers, rental instruments and art supplies, SAT workshops, attendance at college level courses and enrichment classes, assistance with college application and SAT transfer costs and much more.
