HELP WANTED

With the season just around the corner, the Varsity Hyacks are looking for help in a number of areas off the field. The most pressing need is for additional game night staff and poster distribution. If you are interested please contact Barb Drake at: bdrake1@shaw.ca or coach Lalji to get more details. But there are a number of smaller roles also available. Our program has always received outstanding parent and community support, so we expect 2016 will be no different. We look forward to hearing from you.

 HOMECOMING THIS FRIDAY

Homecoming 2016 is finally upon us, as the Hyacks will show off their "New Look & New Ground" along with another exciting game. The whole community is invited to cheer on the Hyacks Varsity team as they take on the Carson Graham Eagles from North Vancouver, this Friday night, September 23 at Mercer Stadium.

The pre-game festivities start at 4:30 p.m. with the annual flag football challenge for Hyacks alumni. Family-fun starts at 5:00 p.m. and features on-field kids' activities like the bouncy castle and football toss. There's also a civic pride tug-of-war competition featuring teams from City Hall, School District #40 and elsewhere.
And of course, you could WIN a Ford Focus in a raffle, courtesy of Key West Ford.

The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. just after the game ball is parachuted onto the field by the B.C.Sky Diving Team. The NWSS band will become a Marching Band and play at halftime and the cheerleaders will also be there. The game will also be the league opener for the Hyacks. For those out of town fans who cant attend the game, it will be broadcast live on SportsCanada.tv
Hyacks Football thanks media sponsors the New Westminster Record, CTV and Virgin Radio 94.5 FM.
