We hope you joined us last week for our Teatro en el Parque with Escena Latina Teatro. It was a great 3 nights of fantastic theater combined with delicious food and music. For our upcoming Movies in Mozart series, we'll have more complementary food and entertainment prior to each show. Free activities like these take a significant amount of time to plan, generous and hardworking volunteers, and money.
So that we can continue providing free activities to you this summer and beyond, please support us in our
Café en el Parque campaign. Any funds raised up to $2,500 will be matched by the Boston Main Streets Foundation. Read below for more information on how you can help.
Thank you for celebrating the community with us and for your support.

Support Our Caf
é en el Parque
Help us raise matching funds for summer programming
Hyde Jackson Square Main Street has been creating welcoming, vibrant, social Cafés en el Parque in Mozart Park prior to our
Teatro en el Parque live theater shows and will do the same for each outdoor Movies in Mozart show in August and September.
The Café has invigorated patrons before each performance by providing them with an eclectic mix of free, delicious food from neighborhood restaurants and entertainment (like live Latin jazz). Our neighborhood is home to many immigrant and low-income families many of whom are not able to experience live theater and music. At our Caf
és, they'll also be treated to delicious food from local restaurants. Support Caf
é en el Parque by going to our
project webpage to bring the joy of food, music and art to our community or donate to us via check to
Hyde Jackson Square Main Street, 329 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
All funds raised up to $2,500 will be matched by the Boston Main Streets Foundation so every dollar you give could be worth $2 to our community.

Main Street Recap
Another set of amazing nights of outdoor theater at Teatro en el Parque
Last week on the evenings of July 19 through July 21, Escena Latina Teatro performed a lively, funny, and heartfelt Cumbia de mi Corazon at our Teatro en el Parque. Cumbia, written by Toby Campion (who was in the audience for 2 shows) and directed by Inés de le Cruz, was the latest installment for the theatre troupe who visits Mozart Park every year in the summer to wow us with Spanish-language works from the Americas and Spain.
Prior to each show in our Café en el Parque, we had lively Latin jazz by the Natalia Hernandez Trio, Javier Rosario Trio, and Juan Ruiz Trio; delicious food from the Blue Nile Restaurant, Cappy's Pizza and Subs, The Frogmore Restaurant, Latino Restaurant, Miami Restaurant, and Yely's Restaurant; and beverages and snacks by Camilo Market, Codman Square Market, and Evelyn's Market. Thank you to all of these people and businesses who helped to make this our biggest Teatro ever.
We'd also like to thank the following for sponsorship in 2018. Without your help, we would not have been able to hold 3 successive days of free shows, entertainment, and food.

Movies in Mozart, Saturdays on August 18 & September 8
We are so excited to begin a new movie series in our fantastic pocket park, Movies in Mozart.
For our inaugural year, we'll be showing two international and cultural family movies: Coco on Saturday, August 18 and Paddington 2 on Saturday, September 8.
Bring a chair or a blanket and some pillows as we explore with Miguel his Mexican ancestry to find his great-great-grandfather in the Land of the Dead in Coco. And enjoy the delights of Paddington, a Peruvian bear who makes his home in London and who has ideas to buy a present for his beloved bear-relative, Aunt Lucy who lives in Lima, Peru.
We'll have complementary delicious food and snacks from local restaurants and food stores in our Café as well as games and prizes. The movies begins at sundown and the fun starts 1 hour prior to each movie.
Inside Out Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, September 8
Just because we moved our business district celebration, our Inside Out Sidewalk Sale, to Saturday, September 8 because of spring rains, doesn't mean it will be any less fun or big. Join our merchants and entertainers in one of Boston's largest sidewalk sale celebrations, if not the largest. A list of participating storefront businesses and activities will be updated on our Inside Out Sidewalk Sale webpage.
