23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
All week, I have looked forward to writing an "easy" sermon!!
I "THOUGHT" I had the Word that God desired I minister on, but......................
God "IS A DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART!!!"

Please "SELAH/THINK ON" the "moral understanding" of the HEART!!!

Ya see, "THE LORD LOOKETH ON THE HEART!!!

Too often, "WE" think and BELIEVE that our hearts and INTENTS of our hearts are pure and righteous-

SMILE! Most of you are too young to remember that OLD song from the Coasters!!!
AND THEN-
God reveals OUR "thoughts and intents of the heart," and, trust me, OFTENTIMES it is NOT pretty!!!
WE need to be like David and seek God to:

WE MUST be careful..........

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and

that day come upon you unawares.
WE MUST be constantly alert-KEEPING OUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE- lest the enemy of our souls and/or flesh allow evil to take root!
Just as the famous quote from GODFATHER 3:
satan never ceases to tempt and attempt to plant UN-Godly thoughts and actions in OUR heart!!!
WE think and believe THAT sin in our heart was extinguished LONG ago!
But-WHOOP THERE IT IS!!!
Beloved, WHEN, not IF, we discover a flaw/sin attempting to take root in OUR hearts, IT must IMMEDIATELY be dealt with and cast out!!!

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble
you
, and thereby many be defiled;
THAT tiny root, THAT tiny seed of doubt, greed, hate, or myriad of sins, can never be taken lightly or ignored!!!!
Only YOU know what is lurking in YOUR heart!!
