Tidy up entryway with a City grant 
Applications for matching grant must be submitted by February 3

Take advantage of a great opportunity to enhance your neighborhood by submitting an application for the Neighborhood Entryway Enhancement Matching Grant Program.

This program provides funding assistance to Novi Homeowners Associations to help them improve their neighborhoods through high-quality, sustainable entranceway beautification projects.

Projects must be intended to beautify a subdivision entrance through significant and permanent physical improvements and must be located on the perimeter of the neighborhood. 

Neighborhoods are eligible for a 50 percent match, up to a maximum $5,000. Applications are available now at cityofnovi.org and must be submitted by February 3. Questions should be directed to [email protected].

Much like many of you, our employees will be enjoying the holidays with family and friends. 

The Novi Civic Center and Meadowbrook Activity Center will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 25, Dec. 30 and January 2.

The Novi Public Library will be closed Dec. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 30, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

If you are on the City's Waste Management contract, trash services will not be impacted by the holidays. If you have any questions, please call 866-797-9018.
Benefit for former officer's family
Hockey game on Jan. 20 to support Officer Harper Children's Memorial Fund

Come see your favorite former Detroit Red Wings take the ice against members of the Novi Police and Fire Departments at the fourth annual Victory Benefit hockey game on at 7pm on January 20 at Novi Ice Arena.

Tickets are just $10 and proceeds from the game will go to the Officer Harper Memorial Children's Fund. Officer Tim Harper, who had been with the Novi Police Department for more than 25 years, died in September at his South Lyon home. He left behind a daughter who attends Michigan State University and a son at South Lyon High School.

The hockey game itself is always a good time! Previous games have included Red Wings stars Darren McCarty, Mickey Redmond, Larry Murphy, Manny Legace, Sergei Samsonov and many others.

Win a wedding at the Novi Library!
The lucky couple must submit video entry by January 24 to be eligible

Enter now for a chance to win your own storybook wedding at the Novi Public Library this summer.

One person in the couple must live in Novi, Northville, Wixom, Lyon Township, Salem-South Lyon or Walled Lake and must attend two of three Novi Library relationship programs.

Participants must submit a two-minute video showing why they should win. The final three couples will have their video featured on novilibrary.org for public to view and vote.

The couple must also be willing to let the public vote on every aspect of the wedding from the dress, tuxedo, rings, cake, honeymoon and most importantly the lucky couple. 

A public reception will take place at Fuerst Park with a private reception to follow at the Library on Saturday, June 24, 2017. The deadline to enter is January 24. Online voting will take place between February 20 and March 6.
