Take a virtual tour of your Novi
HelloNovi.org website highlights Live, Work & Play opportunites in Novi

New residents, potential residents and even longtime residents can benefit from Novi's newest website Hello Novi.

The City, in conjunction with three area school districts, created the community attraction tool to showcase Novi's features, attractions, amenities, school districts, shopping, businesses, etc. The website is helpful to those looking to relocate to southeast Michigan.

Hello Novi lets visitors take a virtual tour of the City, even providing a translate option to ensure understanding in a variety of languages. The site is organized into Live, Work and Play categories, and clicking on a point of interest brings up a collection of resources and contact information.

Keeping your drinking water safe
Cross Connection Control program enforces requirements from MDEQ

The City of Novi's Water and Sewer Division is charged with providing safe drinking water to Novi residents and businesses.

In order to do that, the City must verify that cross connections on private plumbing systems do not pose a contamination risk on the public water supply. To do that, the Water and Sewer Division will be performing inspections to ensure that backflow prevention devices are in place.

The Cross Connection Control program, which is divided into five districts, started last year in District 1. Residents in District 2 (north of 11 Mile Road, east of Novi Road, Old Novi Road and E. Lake Drive, see map) will be inspected this year.

Residents in District 2 will soon be receiving an introductory letter in the mail, followed by a packet that contains a mandatory survey. They will then complete an inspection and notify you if you are in compliance or what corrective measures you must take to be in compliance.

Note: There may be contractors canvassing the area looking to do testing on your backflow preventers. The City is NOT sending contractors to your homes, and you are NOT required to just hire a plumbing contractor. If you are approached by a contractor, you are NOT required to do anything unless you receive a letter from the City. If you are unsure, please call 248.735.5661.
