Coffee with a Cop Day from
9-11am, Friday, February 24, at Fire Station #2.
Residents are invited to ask questions, voice concerns and engage with the officers who patrol their neighborhoods. Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police David Molloy will be there along with other members of his administrative team and officers.
There will not be a formal presentation, so people are invited to come and go throughout the morning as they please.

Annual address takes place Thursday, March 9, Suburban Collection Showplace
Mayor Bob Gatt has earned quite the reputation for his annual
State of the City Address, and early word is that 2017's version could be the best yet.
This year's address will take place at
7:30am on Thursday, March 9 at the Suburban Collection Showplace.Tickets are $25 per person or $225 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at cityofnovi.org. Those wishing to hear the Mayor's speech by not join in the breakfast may attend at 8:45am free of charge.
This is the non-profit organization's biggest fundraiser of the year, with the goal set at $25,000. Proceeds from the event go to support various programs and services in Novi.

Be part of Citizen Police Academy
Applications currently be accepted for FREE academy that starts March 1
This free academy, which kicks off March 1, gives residents the opportunity to learn about their local police department and get an in-depth look at the criminal justice system as a whole.
The 30-hour program includes practical demonstrations, hands-on experiences and presentations. Participants will tour the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office along with 52-1 District Court. They will also watch a K-9 demonstration and learn about weapons at the Novi Firearms Training Center.
Classes are scheduled on
Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9pm, March 1 through May 10. The registration deadline is
February 15.
