See a pothole? Report it to DPS
Call or text DPS crews to report location of potholes throughout the City

It's pothole season and our Department of Public Services crews are working hard to keep up with the patching.

Potholes are patched based on a priority system with high-traffic main roads being done first, followed by low-traffic main roads and finally subdivision streets.

Residents can report potholes at cityofnovi.org, by calling 248.735.5640 or texting a picture to 248.278.7611.

The DPS also is in contact with the Road Commission for Oakland County to ensure their crews patch the potholes on Oakland County roads in Novi (Haggerty, Novi Road south of 12 Mile, Napier, 14 Mile, Pontiac Trail, 12 Mile, Grand River, 10 Mile and 8 Mile). You can report a pothole on a county road by calling 877.858.4804.

Call or email to discontinue Sunday Select delivery

Residents who no longer want to receive the Detroit Free Press Sunday Select that is often found in their driveways and strewn about neighborhoods can call or email to remove their address from the distribution list.

Residents should call the Consumer Solutions Center at 800.395.3300 or email [email protected] to remove their address. The center will take calls from 7am-noon on Sundays, 8-5pm Monday-Wednesday and 6-5pm Thursday-Friday.

The City cannot request a blanket removal of addresses in Novi, so residents must make the call themselves.

Be prepared for tax-related scams
IRS will never contact people via phone and demand immediate payment

Tax season is nearing its end, but the Novi Police Department is still asking residents to be vigilant about tax-related scams.

The Novi Police Department has taken reports regarding fraudulent attempts to obtain funds from citizens by criminals posing as representatives of the IRS over the phone. Residents should know that the IRS will never contact taxpayers via phone and demand immediate payment nor will they threaten residents with deportation. Residents should never respond to such phone, and at no time should they provide payment or personal information in response to such a call.

Residents receiving these types of calls can report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800.366.4484.
