Paint our Novi pink this October
Sign up for a free mammography screening on Oct. 18 at the Novi Civic Center

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the City of Novi is encouraging all residents to support the cause by decorating their doors or exterior of their homes the color pink.

Many of us know someone who has been impacted by breast cancer and this is a great way to honor or celebrate them while also increasing awareness.

With awareness in mind, the City has also partnered with Providence Park Hospital to bring its mobile mammography unit to the Novi Civic Center on Oct. 18. All women in the community over the age of 40 are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to get screened. Screenings are covered by most insurances and will take only 15 minutes to complete.

You can make an appointment by calling  248.567.0316  or emailing [email protected] and completing the registration form found on cityofnovi.org.  Appointment times are on a first come basis. Appointments can be made in 15 minute increments.

The rollout is expected to take place over several weeks. There is no additional cost for the new carts, which will be delivered prior to the collection of the old carts. Please continue to use your old carts until they are removed. This process is anticipated to be complete by early October.

Please wait until the week of October 17 to report a missed cart drop-off or pick-up by calling 866.797.9018. For more information about the trash program in Novi, visit cityofnovi.org/trash.
