I Celebrate Birthdays!
Especially Mine! And Yours!
Most people who know me will say, "Jacqui loves her birthday! She starts telling us about it weeks in advance." Yes, I do love my birthday, but you know what I love your birthday just as much.
This weekend, May 19th to be more precise, I will celebrate another year. You may try to guess my age and that is all well in fine, because I celebrate the joy of knowing that God has blessed me with another year to fulfill my purpose. Age is secondary and sometimes can be limiting if you allow it to be. I have chosen not to because I know God uses everyone--the young and the mature alike.
I'm excited! I'm like a kid in the candy store! When I wake up I'm just thankful to be able to celebrate another year and to share with others how much I'm thankful they are a part of my life.
Every day I celebrate the precious gift of life God has given. It is more than just celebrating my life, I celebrate yours as well. We are His masterful creations! Each of our lives are so intertwined that we have to celebrate the joy we bring to each other.
One thing about birthdays, they do make you look at your mortality. Yes, they do make you think about you're getting older. In many instances, they make you assess where you've been, where you are and where you're going. All of it is interconnected. I am who I am because of my experiences, I'm presently making new experiences and I'm progressing forward to a bright and successful future built on my past and present experiences. Age does not limit me because I draw on the wealth of wisdom that comes with age and proceed progressively experiencing unparalleled success.
Are birthday's drudgery? I don't think so. You see if you didn't have a birth date there would be no you. As much as you may think that life isn't a bed of roses, your life counts to countless others. You matter! You make a difference!
I've learned over the years to celebrate the significance of insignificance. True enough we hear about the grandiose things people may accomplish; but in actuality it's the things we do every day that have more significance in shaping our world. It is a methodical approach to life that orchestrates us into our destiny and the fulfillment of our purpose.
For instance, someone created the Internet. But if it wasn't for the billion of people on it every day it would be useless. That is why people want hits on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. They realize that each insignificant hit catapults them to another level of success. Every perceived insignificant contribution is creating our world and making our existence significant in this dispensation.
Howbeit, the quality of the contribution plays an integral role in shaping our world to be a better place. Each person contributes. Each person decides the qualitative component of that contribution. Will it build up or tear down. Each of us has to make that choice. Will it bring life or death?
I made the decision that my choices will bring life; not just for me, but for everyone that comes in the sphere of my influence. I will love them to life as I celebrate the day I was born and each role they have contributed to my life's journey.
Happy Birthday to Me and Everyone of You!
