Rosaria Champagne Butterfield taught English and Women's Studies at Syracuse University from 1992-2002, receiving tenure in 1999. She published and taught in the fields of 19th Century British Literature and Culture, feminist and queer theory and psychoanalysis. After her conversion to Christ in 1999, she taught and ministered at Geneva College (Beaver Falls, PA) and served on their Board of Trustees. Rosaria is married to Kent Butterfield, Pastor of the First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Durham, and is a full-time home-school mother, pastor's wife, writer and speaker. In 2012 she published her conversion memoir, The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor's Journey to Christian Faith. Her second book, Openness Unhindered: Further Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert on Sexual Identity and Union with Christ is available in summer of 2015. She writes about sexuality, identity, Christian community, and seeks to encourage all in faithful Christian living and service |
