Words can't express how sincerely I appreciate you: You're the reason farmed animals have hope for a better future.

With your support, we were able to conduct and release three powerfully hard-hitting investigations this year  investigations that exposed the cruel reality of factory farming to millions of Americans.

But now our investigations, which are critical to making change for animals suffering on factory farms, are under attack. Will you help us fight back?

Last month, after our brave investigator, Taylor Radig, blew the whistle on a cattle facility abusing newborn calves, local authorities retaliated. They charged Taylor with a crime even though all she did was merely witness  and then report to authorities others abusing these vulnerable animals.

Because of Taylor, the world is seeing the suffering kept hidden behind the closed doors of animal agribusiness. And if she hadn't spoken out, these abuses, which include very young calves being kicked, dragged, and thrown, would very likely still be occurring.

That's why we need your support now more than ever. The meat industry is trying to silence Taylor  and us. Today, I'm asking you to stand with Taylor − and stand for compassion in 2014.

If you donate by December 31, every dollar you give will be matched up to $100,000 − making your gift go twice as far for animals.

With your continued friendship, we will work tirelessly in 2014 to pull back the curtain to expose the horrors of factory farming and bring about a brighter day for animals.

On behalf of Taylor, and on behalf of farmed animals everywhere: Thank you for your commitment to compassion.

For the animals,

Erica Meier
