California State Board of Pharmacy Full Board Meeting on December 12th

The California State Board of Pharmacy will hold a Full Board Meeting on December 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the  Department of Consumer Affairs, 1 625 North Market Blvd., First Floor Hearing Room,  Sacramento, CA 95834. Notice of Meeting Agenda can be found here .

Full Board will discuss implementation of SB 351, hospital satellite compounding pharmacy licensing requirements at its December 12 meeting.

IACP to Submit Comments to California State Board on Beyond Use Dates

The California Board of Pharmacy is proposing an emergency compounding rule related to the establishment of beyond use dates for compounded drug preparations to allow for an extension of the beyond use date of non-sterile compounded drug preparations, and to clarify that suitability and integrity tests and stability studies are only required to extend the beyond use date of sterile compounded drug preparations.  

PLEASE NOTE: IACP will be submitting formal comments to the California State Board of Pharmacy addressing their emergency compounding rule and urges our IACP Members and Corporate Members to do the same. We will share our comments with you as soon as available.

The board will file the emergency rule package within December 1-8 timeframe. Public comments must be received within five (5) calendar days of the board's filing.
