hope your 2017 is off to a fabulous start!
As you can see in the photos in the January Event Recap article below, one of our focus areas for this year is continue to build upon a sense of community amongst our members. Our January event was incredible. The facilitator shared that she has never worked with such a warm and collaborative group of individuals, where some were meeting for the first time. It truly was a heart-warming event.
Coming up in May, we will be celebrating International Coach Week and are in the process of identifying opportunities to give back in our communities. If you have any suggestions, or would like to be involved (any level of involvement is welcome), I would enjoy hearing from you.
In addition, we have heard your feedback about making it easier to participate in events. In an effort to do so, we will be increasing our virtual events where you can participate from wherever you are. In addition, we are investing in a Zoom platform, a video conferencing service, in order to virtually stay connected and build our relationships within the ICF-NJ community.

January Team-Building Event Recap
On January 26, 2017, more than 20 coaches of ICF-NJ kicked off 2017 with a team building event with a twist.
The life, executive, and other professional coaches worked together making Magic Carpet Play Rugs, designed to cheer homeless children struggling with poverty and loneliness. The children are in the care of Home Front transitional housing in Lawrenceville.
At the event, which took place in Princeton, the group carpet-making was facilitated by Capital Care, who guided the coaches in their effort.
According to Renee Robertson, Chapter President, the event provided a number of benefits. "By working together on this group project, the coaches were empowered to get in touch with their creative sides, while learning powerful lessons about working together. Perhaps most important, we created something that will bring joy to children in need."
