Weekly Ayah from Quran
Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word    like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               (Surah Ibrahim #27)
Imam's Corner
What is the good word being referred to in the ayah? According to the scholars of Tafseer, the good word is the kalimah (statement of Faith), `La ilaha illallah' There is no true god except Allah. How is this like a good tree? This is like a good tree which will give a person stability and bring forth fruits (benefits) in this world and the hereafter. How will it give a person stability? Many times, we feel like we are being pulled in a number of directions, and if we are not rooted, then it is easy to get lost and distracted. Having the mindset that Allah is the only one worthy of worshipping provides that stability. What benefits will it bring to a person? The hadeeth mentions one of the benefits of this statement, that it will be means of a person entering Jannah. In the last moments of life, those things that we are most attached to come to mind, and if a person is attached to Allah, then in sha Allah he/she will say the kalimah, and this will be a means of him/her entering Jannah. May Allah make all of our last words La ilaha illallah' (There is no true god except Allah)

Mu`adh bin Jabal (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He whose last words are: `La ilaha illallah' (There is no true god except Allah) will enter Jannah.''

[Abu Dawud].
