2017 IFNA AWARDS : Call for Nominations 

The International Family Nursing Association (IFNA) invites you to recognize and celebrate IFNA members who are providing outstanding contributions to transform health for families worldwide and advance the nursing of families. Seven awards in 4 categories will be presented to chosen recipients at the 13th International Family Nursing Conference in Pamplona, Spain in 2017. The IFNA Awards Committee, chaired by Dr. Norma Krumwiede (USA), with members from 5 countries, will oversee the selection process of these awards.

Nominate an IFNA member today. In addition, the Distinguished Partner in Family Health Care Award recognizes non-IFNA members and individuals outside of the discipline of Nursing, including associations, corporations, or non-profit organizations who demonstrate sustained investment and excellence in advancing family focused health care. Dr. Barbara Voltelen (Denmark)  teaches family nursing in the undergraduate curriculum at University College Lillebaelt and is examining the usefulness of Family Health Conversations with families.

FAMILY NURSING RESEARCH NEWS 
  Dr. Veronica Lambert (Ireland) is conducting a study on parent-adolescent communication and negotiation of self-management responsibilities for adolescents' with Type 1 Diabetes (TID). This builds on her research in the field of family communication processes for children living with chronic health care needs. [Read more]

IFNA CONFERENCE NEWS



The IFNA Conference Committee is extremely pleased with the excellent proposals and abstracts that were submitted in response to the Call for Abstracts. We are currently finalizing the schedule of accepted Preconference Workshops and Expert Lectures. Additionally, review is underway of 386 abstracts submitted from numerous countries. Acceptance notifications will be sent to authors in mid-December 2016.
