We are excited to welcome 4 new medical writers to our IMPACT team: Caroline, Stacey, Erin, and Abigail (Abby).
Caroline
worked as a Research Project Manager/Communications Officer at the Duke Center for Human Disease Modeling. She also serves as the Executive Editor of Natural History magazine. She is a fan of musical theater and Duke basketball, and loves playing with her rescue terrier mix Mitch, being outdoors, and exploring the food and drink scene in the Triangle.
Stacey was a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator for the Phase 1 Oncology team at Duke, responsible for all regulatory aspects of over 50 Phase 1 studies, including interactions with industry sponsors, investigator-initiated studies and the Duke IRB. She is President of the Carolina Basset Hound Rescue and senior dogs hold a special place in her heart. She also loves to travel and participates in sprint-distance triathlons for fun.
Erin was a nonclinical project manager at Synecor for 2 years after spending 13 years at GSK as operations manager of a translational biopharmaceutics lab. She enjoys gardening, camping, and playing the bass guitar. She loves to rescue animals and has multiple dogs, chickens, fish, frogs, and a hamster.
Abby
was a Regulatory Coordinator for the GI Oncology Clinical Research team at Duke University Medical Center, where she managed IND submissions for the team's investigator-initiated studies and led the regulatory start-up process for industry sponsored studies. Abby received her PhD from Duke University and was a Regulatory Affairs Intern at DTMI (Duke Translational Medicine Institute). Outside of work, Abby loves playing team sports (softball, field hockey, and kickball), improv comedy, playing the piano, and reading different types of nonfiction.
