INCOMPAS Comments on Verizon's Proposal to Acquire Straight Path Spectrum Licenses
On August 11, INCOMPAS filed comments in response to Verizon's proposed acquisition of Straight Path's spectrum licenses. In its filing, INCOMPAS said that "[i]f approved, the transaction would undermine competition for 5G services and fixed wireless services by further concentrating millimeter wave spectrum in the hands of the largest wireless carrier; and produce an unjustified windfall to the applicants, depriving taxpayers of their rightful compensation for this spectrum. We urge the Commission to carefully scrutinize this transaction and take appropriate steps to prevent these outcomes."
