A Montreal actor puts himself in the shoes of Antonio, a Portuguese immigrant. Through movement, words and music he re-tells chapters of Antonio's life as he adapts to his new place in the world.
Both sensitive and entertaining, Inner Migrant is an imaginative production that explores a universal theme, the tale of tensions between hopes for a better life and regrets about all that is left behind.
A co-production with Montreal's
Dynamo Theatre and Portugal's
Teatro O Bando,Inner Migrant grew out of
Documents of Poverty and Hope, a recent global collaboration with six theatre companies from Canada, Europe and Australia, including Presentation House Theatre.
