Mid-winter holidays mean gifts, regardless which holiday you celebrate. So time to get that paper and pen out and start making your list. We have some terrific suggestions to choose from and you know that a book is one of the best gift choices you can make!

The 3rd book featuring Eloise at the Plaza Hotel - it's Christmastime in New York and Eloise is warm & cozy in her apartment at the Plaza Hotel. Lively rhymes and delightful illustrations by Knight.

Near fine in glossy red illustrated boards (corner clipped off front endpaper, very minor wear to the ends of the spine and the lower corners, but overall a very clean, tight and attractive copy of this classic book.), in a very good dustjacket (price-clipped, loss of approx 1 cm at top of spine of dust jacket, not affecting the text.). The Christmas Alphabet

Twenty-six intricate paper fold-outs, in pastel cards mounted in a red hardcover binding, Minimal handling, most "letters" have never been opened. Each letter of the alphabet has its own pop-up; each is perfectly intact, all mechanisms function well.

This TRUE First Edition - Second Printing predates the limited edition of 1996 and later Scholastic printing. Robert Sabuda is a leading children's pop-up book artist and paper engineer. His books, have been well received and critically acclaimed. Available here.

With 1985 dated title page and complete number line on copyright page. Bound in burgundy cloth with silver foil lettering to spine and silver foil sleigh bell blocked on front cover. Cover boards are clean with little noticeable wear. Dust jacket is clean with slight shelf wear along top edge, price intact on flap, in mylar sleeve. Interior pages are clean and unmarked, with mauve end papers. Binding is square and solid. Available here.

Bound in full leather with title and image of swordfish stamped on front cover, top edge gilt. A clean, sound copy, neatly re-backed in closely matched leather, with most of original spine laid down. Inscribed by Bandini under his tipped-in photo "Perhaps this will bring back memories of 'Palatial' days -- Good luck, Ralph Bandini." The inscribee is not named. Bandini (1884-1961) was a pioneer of big game fishing off the coast of California.
