During the program, IPSF presented Spirit of Excellence Awards to three outstanding honorees including actor/comedian, Will Ferrell, American rock band, Thrice, and Irvine Company for their enduring commitment and dedication to education in our comm unity. Actress, Nasim Pedrad, and recipient of the inaugural Scholarship for the Arts, Ryan Lee of Irvine High School, put on an incredible stand up performance and entertained guests throughout the night.

Other highlights of the evening included a special anniversary performance by the Grammy Award Winning Woodbridge High School choir, directed by Mr. Rob Blaney, and a live set by honorees, Thrice, featuring Julia Yuan and Yebin Kwon, students of Irvine High.

In celebration of IPSF's 20th anniversary,  Presenting Sponsor,  FivePoint, kicked off an endowment fund for IPSF by making a $100,000 donation to advance public education in Irvine. In addition, FivePoint committed to extending their support of the Spirit of Excellence Gala for the next three years. We would like to thank all the 2016 sponsors and donors whose contributions made this year's event a true celebration on IPSF's 20 years of impact.
