IRF Partners with China Highway Summit, Introduces Capacity-Building Programs

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The International Road Federation is supporting the 2015 International Highway Technology Summit, which opens its doors in Shanghai on April 21. Held every two years, IHTS is the largest and the most influential highway knowledge platform in China.

 

During the 3-day summit, the IRF will hold a partner sessions on forgiving roads and traffic monitoring & control, as well as a how-to workshop on selecting road management applications. IRF staff will also be chairing a flagship multi-country panel discussion on China's new Silk Road Economic Belt program.


"We are honored to have IRF as a supporting organization to the 2015 International Highway Technology Summit at a time when China is proposing to fast-track regional connections through the Silk Road Economic Belt," said Hu Xijie, president of the China Highway & Transportation Society and former vice minister of transport for China.
