Do you know a woman that needs some adventure in her life? Maybe she's a mother, business professional, workaholic, has overcome an obstacle in her life, or is a total giver in her community. Tell DNK her story, and why she would be a great winner for the 2017 Live Adventurously Women's Adventure Contest.
Your nominee must be a woman, be able to carry at least 30 lbs. on her back, know how to ride a bike (basic), and be available May 18-21st for the adventure weekend (and a few other dates between now and then to pick up her awesome gifts and meet the other ladies). It should be someone with a great attitude and the willingness to try new things! Last year the contest winners received over $1,000 in gifts NOT including all the food, drinks, and the custom guided adventure from DNK Presents.
Therese Niemiec worked with Liz, who began the nonprofit in 2010, starting with developing the identity, mission, and vision of the 501(c)3 company. She and Liz developed the wish giving/granting methodology and the process of building relationships with the hospitals and families.
Additionally, she is the lead of the Development Committee and drives the fundraising efforts of the organization. Therese graduated with distinction from Purdue University with a degree in Computer Information Technology and worked in IT for twenty years.
EPIC stands for Excellence as a woman business owner, Professional accomplishments during the past 5 years, Initiative and creativity in addressing major challenges in her business, and Civic and community involvement. These are all qualities that women business owners display each and every day. The judges are prominent members of the business community, and base their decisions on these four areas.
Join them on March 2nd for an evening cocktail reception, a three course seated dinner, plus live voting for the winners!
