Dear PTA Member & Friend of PTA,
Idaho PTA has participated in the first Parent Advisory Council with Superintendent Ybarra and other members of the Department of Education along with some other organizations and parents across Idaho.
It was an open discussion on what's working and not working, family engagement tools, explanation of ADA and funding formula, and an IDL a parent portal, which is coming soon.
Idaho PTA has been asked to gather information regarding testing and accountability from a parent perspective. We are also asked to review the Idaho ESSA plan and give feedback.
Please send us your concerns regarding any of these issues so that we may be able to pass them on. Email Idaho PTA
Our mission at Idaho PTA is to
support & speak on behalf of children in the school amd our c
ommunities before governmental bodies and other organizations that
make decisions affecting children. Idaho PTA is also actively
promoting resources for parents to help them develop the skills they need to raise and protect their
children, and
to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of our state and in the
nation.
