Idaho State Today is a twice-weekly campus employee newsletter where we share our successes and tell you about the news you need to know during your workweek.

To submit a story, fill out our online form by Friday at noon for Monday's edition, and Wednesday at noon for Thursday's edition.

Idaho State University will host its inaugural Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on Oct. 14, which will feature a sunrise ceremony, speeches, panel discussions, workshops, performances and a film screening. The celebration is designed to be an acknowledgement of the interrelated nature of the University, local and global communities. The day-long event welcomes all stakeholders to explore the ideas of what it means to be indigenous and how the campus community can support all students. Read more

Doors across campus turned orange this week for Homecoming 2019. Congratulations to Academic Affairs and the Eli Oboler Library for their first-place award-winning Bengal decorations. The Institute of Rural Health received thirs place honors, followed by Trio in fourth and College of Technology's Nursing program in fifth place.

The Admissions Visitor Center is looking for volunteers for Experience ISU on Friday, Oct. 25. This is one of the University's largest recruitment events. Last year more than 550 students attended. Help is especially needed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day. Read more
